I often say to my son, “When you meet the right person in life you should be able to feel completely comfortable and be able to speak to them as you would your best friend.”

That is what it is like when you have a very special marriage and you know you have met your ‘soul mate’.

We all go through rough patches in life, and that is fine and normal, but in a marriage most of it should be good, not necessarily the situations, because that can’t always be helped, but the respect, support, comfort and freedom you give to each other will help get you through most things.

Obviously the most important feeling is LOVE. And it is so easy to get swept up in things and not have the chance to say  how much you love them. Your wedding vows are a way of doing just that and to let everyone else know how much you care for your spouse.

Wedding vows are an extension to your marriage and are promises you make to each other about how your wedding will continue and like I explained earlier a way to show everyone you invite along, what that person means to you.
